totally new to timeshare then our Newcomers page
may be of greater help. |

actually buy? The purchase price buys you the Membership Certificate/Title
Deed /Lease to your timeshare apartment for your chosen week for the
lifetime of the said Deed/Lease. Ownership of the title Deed /Lease grants you
the right to occupy your apartment each year. Title deeds are usually
issued by one of the Timeshare Trustee Company's. |

Legal / Total Costs :

How do the week numbers run?
Week numbers at resort run from week 1 in
January through to week 52 in December. Most resorts operate with week's 51
& 52 being Christmas and New year respectively, and weeks 30 -35 covering
the summer school holidays, however there are exceptions to this where resorts
have week 52 as Christmas and week 1 as New Year. |
|
What do High/Mid/Low mean?
RCI & Interval International classify weeks at
resorts into 3 seasons to be used to categorise exchanges. These periods
differ greatly from those seasons shown in travel agents brochures. For instance
the Canaries and Florida due to the climates and popularity are classed as high
season all year round. With the exchange organisations you can swap a like
for like week or lower but not upgrade. So a mid season owner can exchange into
all other mid and low season weeks , and a high season owner can exchange into all times
of year. Dial an Echange do not use these season classifications,
they allow owners to swap any week for any other week with no restrictions. |

These are simply references to the size of
apartments T0=studio, T1=1 bed, T2=two bed. We try not to use these terms but
occasional they may appear on the site. |

- what are they for. These fees cover all of the ongoing
costs associated with the upkeep and day to day running of the resort, i.e.,
grounds and garden maintenance, refurbishments, cleaning, insurance and any
taxes, security, reception staff etc. |
| Maintenance / Management Fees - will they go up? Maintenance fees usually only
change to cover inflationary costs i.e. wages. |
