Owning a
TIMESHARE WEEK - apartment or villa is
a lot like owning your own holiday home, but without all the overheads.
With a timeshare week, you have a share in a property that is usually split into 50 Weeks with 2
weeks a year reserved for maintaining the apartments and leisure
facilities. Your timeshare is generally for ever, or if not, a fixed long term
lease for 80 years, which you own to use as you wish. You have bought
luxury accommodation at today's prices and are therefore protected
against inflation and rising costs for life, also like any property you
own, you can rent it, sell it, give it away or bequeath it.The property and resort are cared for by a professional management team
throughout the year and you only pay a small share of the costs. Once you own your timeshare apartment, you can become a member of RCI,
Dial an Exchange or Interval International,
the holiday exchange organisation's who can offer you a change of scenery
enabling you to choose from 5,000+ other resorts in over 90 countries
(RCI). For further information on exchanges and our best introductory
prices to the system then visit our New to
Exchange page.
The weeks of the year
are numbered usually with week 1 being the first in January, week 25
falling during June and week 52 being the last week in the year. Floating
time is a system that offer s you flexibility with your holiday date each
year. Rather than being tied to a specific week you can instead choose
your preferred time within your floating season. The year itself is broken
down into seasons – high, mid and low. The season banding will not
bear any relevance if you keep returning to your resort each year as you
will undoubtedly have chosen a week which you like holidaying during
regardless of whether it is classed as high or low. The season
banding's come into fruition if you wished to take advantage of the
timeshare exchange organisation’s RCI, Interval International or
Dial an exchange. However, Dial an Exchange do not recognise these
season bandings.
